Mountain Milky Way
$15.00 – $1,850.00
Description
This image is all about “if you don’t like what you see, turn around and look the other way!”. Except that I did like what I saw, but I felt the Milky Way heating up the back of my coat!! I was shooting Neowise, the comet that shot through our skies for two weeks in 2020. It was a rare event, and it brought photographers and astronomers together everywhere there was a view of the dark Northwest sky. There were people in parking lots with homemade telescopes and many even had cameras attached to their lenses. I wanted a little foreground, and so, I actually used a wide angle lens! That all being said, this is not a picture of Neowise. I was finished taking pictures of the comet and knew that the Milky Way had been burning in the sky behind me. I turned 180 degrees and boom there it was. So, I shot it. With trees in front of it. And that’s what you see in this picture. But it’s kinda interesting to imagine what could have been about face from this great spiral galaxy in space.
